Technical Arts Ministries
are the producers of the Celebration Services at CCC every
weekend. These people work “behind the scenes”
to make sure everything runs smoothly on stage. Each week,
at every Contemporary service there is a team of at least
8 people making sure the lights, sound, video, and tape
ministries are up and running efficiently.
Audio Tech Ministry
The
Audio Tech ministry operates the sound boards for every
service or program in the Worship Center. This team of dedicated
individuals undergo training we provide, both here and at
seminars off campus, to train them to “mix”
sound for service. Our system includes a 56 channel eight
bus mixing console in the room and a 56 channel eight bus
mixing console in the “video bubble” for doing
a sound mix for recording. For services, we use a minimum
of two people running sound.
Video/Light Ministry
The
Video and Light ministries operate the projected images
and light systems for the week-end Celebration Services,
as well as a host of other events in the Worship Center
in any given week. In the “video bubble” (think
man behind the curtain in the Wizard of OZ), at least two
people sit in front of an array of monitors, computers,
video switches and a host of other gear as they “produce”
the images you see projected on-screen. In the Worship Center
there are at least two more members of this team, operating
the computerized light system and running one of four cameras.
A producer is another person in the video bubble who calls
all of the shots. He/she is talking via headphone to everyone
(sound techs, band director, light person, camera person,
computer operator and video switcher). In addition to all
of the “live” operation, the video ministry
also shoots and edits footage to be used in drama presentations,
testimonies, and service announcements. Like the audio ministry,
the video ministry provides training both here and off campus
for those interested in joining this team.
Audio Tape/CD Ministry
Once the sermon is finished
on any given service, the Tape Ministry jumps into action,
taking the recording to the Tape Ministry Table and duplicating
it so people can purchase a copy as soon as they leave the
service. Of course, much of the work of this ministry happens
through-out the week as they prepare and adhere labels on
the tapes/CD's, make binders for message series and mail
tapes to subscribers.
