Requirements to work with the Junior High or High School Students:

1. Must be a baptized believer in Christ.
2. Must have gone through CLASS 101 at CCC.
3. Must be 21 years of age.
4. Must fill out a reference form that allows us to do a background check on all our workers.
5. Must have personal interview with the Student Pastor.

Realizing the importance, privilege and responsibility of the teaching ministry of Chandler Christian Church, teachers of all ages divisions shall agree to teach the foundational beliefs and practices of this Church.

• That salvation comes by trusting in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior (John 1:12)
That accepting Christ involves:

o Believing that Jesus alone saves. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)
o Admitting that out personal sin separates us from God and need to be repented of and confessed to the Lord. (Romans 3:23; Romans 10:9-10)
o Surrendering our heart and will to Jesus as Lord and Boss of our lives. (Luke 9:23-24)
o Expressing that faith in Believer’s Baptism, which is by immersion—picturing the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus! (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-5)

• That the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Peter 1:20-21) without error.

• That teachers should be an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity-in commitment to an ever-deepening spiritual life-use of their spiritual giftedness-and watching their life and doctrine closely. “Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:12-16)

• That maintaining unity and harmony within the Body of Christ is essential in all our efforts. (1 Corinthians 1:10)

High School Volunteer Positions

Position Title: Youth Coach
Ministry: High School
Department: Youth
Responsibilities: Build relationships with High School students. Attend High School events, camps, etc.
Passion for: Seeing Youth Grow in relationship with God.
Spiritual Gifts: Encouragement; Sheparding; Wisdom
Personal Style: People Oriented, Structured/Unstructured
Minimum Spiritual Maturity: Stable/Growing Believer
Talents/Skills: Loving students, Being a team player, willingness to grow
Additional Comments: This is about a 3hour a week commitment
Availability: Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Regular Commitments: Monthly team meetings, Sunday Mornings
Length of Commitment: One year

Position Title: EFX Small Group Leader
Ministry: High School
Department: Youth
Responsibilities: Lead weekly small group Bible study. Consistently nurture kids in group through prayer and quality time with them.
Passion for: to see God transform young people through relational ministry with an emphasis on small groups
Spiritual Gifts: Sheparding; teaching; encouragement
Personal Style: People oriented; structured
Minimum Spiritual Maturity: Stable/Growing Believer
Talents/Skills: Good listening skills; able to teach; to be able to create and ask good questions; to be able to look at things/life through the eyes of a teen
Additional Comments: This is a 4-hour a week commitment
Availability: Tuesdays, 6:45pm-8:45pm

Position Title: EFX Small Group Leader Apprentice
Ministry: High School
Responsibilities: Assist leader with weekly small group discussion. Assist in nurturing kids in group through prayer and quality time with them.
Passion for: to see God transform young people through relational ministry with an emphasis in small groups
Spiritual Gifts: Sheparding; teaching; encouragement
Personal Style: People Oriented; Task Oriented; Structured
Minimum Spiritual Maturity: New/young believer
Talents/Skills: teachability; willingness to look at things/life through eyes of a teen; good listening skills
Additional Comments: This is a 2-hour a week commitment. To assist a small group leader with whatever they need. To get to know the kids by name and be someone they can talk to.
Availability: Various days, 6:45pm-8:45pm

Position Title: Drama Team Leader
Ministry: High School
Responsibilities: Coordinate with worship pastor for dramas and videos. Help to run rehearsals and execution of dramas on Sunday morning.

Position Title: Technical Team
Ministry: High School
Department: Youth
Responsibilities: Work either with sound or computer/DVD on a team to execute the Sunday morning service. Commitment would be based on your schedule. We look to have 3 teams that rotate every third week.
Passion for: to see God transform young people through relational ministry with an emphasis music/worship
Spiritual Gifts: Helps; Encouragement
Personal Style: Task Oriented; Structured
Minimum Spiritual Maturity: New/Young believer
Talents/Skills: Sound tech – basic knowledge/experience with music. No skill needed for the computer tech. Training for each of the positions will be provided.
Availability: Sundays, 10:00am-12:05pm
Length of Commitment: One year
