To Reach Out
and Speak Out for Jesus!
NOT ALL THE BIBLE COMMANDS ARE EQUAL!
*** Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus
came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age." [New International Version]
*** Acts 1:8 “But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive
power and will tell people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea,
in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." [New Living Translation]
*** Acts 10:42 “He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify
that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.”

*** 2 Cor. 5:20 “We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade
men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making
things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends
with God; he's already a friend with you.” [Message Bible]
Some are “Gifted,” but ALL are Commanded
to share Christ with others!
To Reach Out and Speak Out for Jesus!
*** Col. 4:3 “Pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message,
so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ….” [NIV]
*** Acts 9:20 “And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues,
saying, "He is indeed the Son of God!" [NLT]
*** Acts 9:28 “So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem,
speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.” [NIV]
*** Acts 13:44, 49 “The following week almost the entire city turned out
to hear them preach the word of the Lord. 49 So the Lord's message spread
throughout that region.” [NLT]
*** Acts 14:1, 21-22 “In Iconium, Paul and Barnabas went together to the
synagogue and preached with such power that a great number of both Jews and
Gentiles believed. 21After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many
disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned again to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch
of Pisidia, 22where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them
to continue in the faith, reminding them that they must enter into the Kingdom
of God through many tribulations.” [NLT]
Acts 16:30-34 “He brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I
do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you
will be saved, along with your entire household." Then they shared the
word of the Lord with him and all who lived in his household. That same hour
the jailer washed their wounds, and he and everyone in his household were
immediately baptized. Then he brought them into his house and set a meal before
them. He and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.”

they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through
them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.” [NLT]
1 Cor. 16:8-9 “In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus…for there
is a wide-open door for a great work here, and many people are responding.”

2 Cor. 2:12 “Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and
found that the Lord had opened a door for me….” [NIV]
Everyday…you and I find ourselves at that same door…same opportunities…

3:17 “Whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord
Jesus….” [NLT]
• Tell your story! -
1 Peter 3:15b “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks
you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness
and respect….” [NIV]
• Invite them to Church!
– CONTEXT…Acts 2:47b “Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

• LOOK for the Door of Opportunity!
• OPEN the Door of Opportunity!
Romans 10:14 “But before people can ask the Lord for help, they must believe
in him; and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and
for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them…!” [New Century
