Door #1 or #2?

(Guest Speaker Mark Briggs)

Mathew 7:13-14 (NIV)
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

• Our “default” mode is that we live our lives in a quest for happiness, rather than in a quest for truth.

• What we believe ultimately impacts the decisions we make. And what we do ultimately determines the outcome in our life.

Romans 12:2 (NIV)
2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

• Renovations...
Are often messy.
Often take longer than we want them to take.
Usually cost more than we anticipate up front.

Salvation is free.
It costs me nothing.
But following Christ,
It costs me something.
