HARD ROCK CHANDLER!
ROCK ON!


*** Deut. 32:4 “He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” [New International Version]
*** 1 Samuel 2:2 “No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.” [New Living Translation]


DIVINE GEOLOGY!


*** Psalm 62:2 “He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.” [NIV]

 

1. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROCK!
STRONG!
*** Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” [NLT]


THE ROCK IS STRONGER THAN ANY BURDEN YOU CARRY TODAY!

SOLID!
*** Psalm 71:3 “Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go….” [NIV]
*** Psalm 91:9-10 “If you make the Most High your dwelling--even the Lord, who is my refuge-- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.” [NIV]


THE SAFEST PLACE IN LIFE IS NEAREST TO THE ROCK!
*** Psalm 121:3-4 “He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you…never tires and never sleeps.” [NLT]

 

STABLE!

WHEN YOUR WORLD FALLS APART, THE ROCK WON'T!
OMNIPOTENCE! – ALL POWERFUL!
OMNIPRESENCE! – ALWAYS PRESENT!
OMNISCIENCE! – ALL KNOWING!

2. COMPASSION OF THE ROCK!
*** 2 Samuel 22:2-3 "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the strength of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior -- from violent men you save me. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.” [NIV]
A. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR FORTRESS!

B. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR DELIVERER!
*** Jeremiah 1:8 “Do not be afraid…for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord.” [NIV]
C. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR REFUGE!
*** Psalm 71:3 “Be to me a protecting rock of safety, where I am always welcome. Give the order to save me, for you are my rock….” [NLT]
D. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR SHIELD!
*** Eph. 6:16 “In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.” [NLT]
E. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR STRENGTH!
*** Isaiah 40:29-31 “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” [NIV]
F. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR SAVIOR!

G. HE WANTS TO BE YOUR LIFE COACH!

3. CONDITIONS OF THE ROCK!
WE HAVE TO LOOK FOR THE ROCK!
*** Psalm 61:2 “From the ends of the earth I call to you…lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” [NIV]
WE HAVE TO LIFT UP THE ROCK!
***Psalm 95:1 “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” [NIV]
WE HAVE TO LIVE FOR THE ROCK!
*** Psalm 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” [NIV]
