earth by completing the work you gave me to do.” [New International Version] JESUS SAYS THAT OUR “TO DO” LIST SHOULD INCLUDE: 1. þ PUTTING GOD’S WORK
FIRST! *** Matthew 6:33 “But more than anything else,
put God's work first….” [CEV] þ THE CHURCH – THE COMMUNITY OF CHRIST! *** Col. 1:27 “To them God has chosen to make
known… the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory.” [NIV] þ MEMBERSHIP! þ MATURITY! þ MINISTRY! þ MISSIONS! þ MAGNIFICATION! *** Eph. 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, just
as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her….” [NIV] o PUT
GOD’S WORK FIRST IN MY LIFE! 2. þ PUTTING GOD’S WILL

CAN WE MAKE GOD’S WILL AND WORK OUR TOP PRIORITY! A. START
EVERY DAY OFF WITH A NEW COMMITMENT! *** Mark 1:35 “Very early in the morning,

solitary place, where he prayed.”

PRACTICE THE PRESENCE OF JESUS! *** Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect
peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you!” [NLT] *** Philip. 4:8 “Finally, my friends, keep
your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't
ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.” [CEV] C.
REFOCUS ON OUR TARGET EVERY WEEKEND! *** Hebrews 10:25 “Let us not neglect our
church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other,
especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.” [Living Bible] o PUT
GOD’S WILL FIRST I MY LIFE! 3. þ PUTTING OUR TRUST
IN GOD! *** Matthew 6:33 “But more than anything else,
put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours
as well.” [CEV] A.
TRUST HIM WITH OUR PAST! *** Luke 5:20-25 “Seeing their faith, Jesus
said to the man, "Son, your sins are forgiven." "Who does this man think he is?"
the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to each other. "This is
blasphemy! Who but God can forgive sins?"
Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, "Why do you
think this is blasphemy? Is it easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven' or 'Get
up and walk'? I will prove that I, the Son of Man, have the authority on earth
to forgive sins." Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said,
"Stand up, take your mat, and go on home, because you are
healed!" And immediately, as
everyone watched, the man jumped to his feet, picked up his mat, and went home
praising God.” [NLT] B.
TRUST HIM WITH OUR PRESENT! *** Matthew 6:31-33 “Don't worry and ask
yourselves, "Will we have anything to eat…drink…to wear?" Only people
who don't know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven
knows that you need all of these. But more than anything else, put God's work
first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.” [CEV] C.
TRUST HIM WITH OUR FUTURE! *** John 14:1-3 “Jesus said, "Don't let
your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house; I
would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a
place for you. After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and
take you to be with me so that you may be where I am.” [New Century Version] o TRUST
GOD WITH MY LIFE! “Jesus said: ‘My food is to do what God wants! He is the one who sent me, and I must finish the work that he gave me to do.’” John
