CONTACTS OF JESUS! *** Luke
12:6-7 “What's the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change,

He has sent me to tell the captives they are free and to tell the blind that they can see again. God sent me to free those who have been treated unfairly and to announce the time when the Lord will show his kindness." Jesus closed the book, gave it back to the assistant, and sat down. Everyone in the synagogue was watching Jesus closely. He began to say to them, "While you heard these words just now, they were coming true!" [New Century Version] *** Matthew 9:36 “When he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them because they were hurting and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” [NCV] *** Mark 1:41 “Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. won't break off a bent reed or put out a dying flame….” [CEV] ¯ HOW CAN WE DEVELOP A HEART
OF COMPASSION? A. YOU HAVE TO THINK OUTSIDE
OF SELF! B. YOU HAVE TO THINK WITH
COMPASSION NOT CONDEMNATION! C. YOU HAVE TO BE PERCIEVE
THE PAIN! D. YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO
TAKE THE TIME! 2. THE DEVOTED AND DISCIPLES! *** MT 11:1 “When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve dis-ciples, he went off teaching and preaching in towns throughout the country.” [NLT] *** Mark 2:13 “Then
Jesus went out to the lakeshore again and taught the crowds that gathered
around him.” [New Living Translation] *** Mark 10:1 “Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.” [NIV] *** MK 4:34 “In fact, in his public teaching he taught only with parables, but after-ward when he was alone with his disciples, he explained the meaning to them.” [NLT] *** John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” [NLT] *** John 13:12-15 “After Jesus had washed his disciples' feet and had put his outer garment back on, he sat down again. Then he said: Do you understand what I have done? You call me your teacher and Lord, and you should, because that is who I am. And if your Lord and teacher has washed your feet, you should do the same for each other. I have set the example, and you should do for each other exactly what I have done for you.” [CEV] ¯WHO ARE YOU MENTORING IN THE FAITH? *** Hebrews 5:12 “You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others.” [NLT] *** 2 Tim. 2:2 “You have heard me teach many things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Teach these great truths to trustworthy people who are able to pass them on to others.” [NLT] THE IS THE TWO TIM TWO TWO PRINCIPLE! 3. THE HYPOCRITE AND
HARDENED! *** Matthew 23:13 “How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you won't let others enter the Kingdom of Heaven, and you won't go in yourselves.” [NLT] *** Matthew 23:33 “You are snakes! A family of poisonous snakes! How are you going to escape God's judgment?” [NCV] *** Matthew 23:24 “Blind guides! You strain your water so you won't accidentally swallow a gnat; then you swallow a camel!” [NLT] *** Matthew 23:27 “Hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people's bones….” [NLT] *** Matthew 7:21-23 “Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as 'Lord,' but still won't get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey my Father in heaven. At the Judgment many will tell me, 'Lord, Lord, we told others about you and…to do many other great miracles.' But I will reply, 'You have never been mine. Go away….'” [Living Bible] ¯REMEMBER,
THE LORD SEES TO YOUR SOUL! 4. THE LOOKING AND LOST! *** Matthew 9:13 “For I have come to call sinners…” [NLT] *** Luke 19:10 “The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them." THE NUMBER ONE REASON BELIEVER’S ARE ON EARTH IS TO HELP UNBELIEVERS
GO TO HEAVEN! “I will make those who win
the victory pillars in the temple of my God, and they will never have to leave
it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God,
the new Jerusalem, that comes down out of heaven from my God. I will also write
on them my new name.” Revelation 3:12 [NCV] |
