Vocal Teams
Vocal
Teams lead singing during the weekend Celebration services.
Vocal teams are placed on a rotating schedule. All vocal
team members are members of the choir and rehearse with
the choir, except for the week(s) for which they are scheduled
to lead. On that weekend, they will rehearse on Saturday
afternoon.
Auditions are required to be a part of the vocal team. Most
ministries at CCC have an application process to ensure
the proper "fit" into the ministry. We are no
different. The audition requires an application, which gives
us an opportunity to find out more about you. In the actual
audition, we learn abouat your vocal skills and where they
would best fit. Auditions for vocal team are held yearly
or when we have a specific need. Since auditions are only
open to those in the choir, they are announced in those
rehearsals.
Worship
Band
Talented
volunteer musicians make up the Worship Band that accompanies
the Vocal Team and choir. With back-up musicians, there
are more members of the band than you may see on a particular
weekend. The band rehearses for two hours from 7-9 p.m.
Tuesdays and members are expected to practice on their own
to hone their skills, as well as the time required for weekend
services and sound checks. Often, there are scheduled additional
rehearsals to work on special music, so the time commitment
to serve in the Worship Band can be considerable.
