Celebrate Recovery
Find Help, Discover Hope, Experience Healing

“Celebrate Recovery addresses all types of habits, hurts and hang-ups.”
(Rick Warren, Senior Pastor, Saddleback Community Church)

Our Purpose

The purpose of Chandler Christian Church’s Celebrate Recovery program is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles" and The 12-Steps. This experience allows us to “be changed” and to actually live this new life that all too often is spoken of, but not realized. We open the door by sharing our hopes, dreams and struggles with each other and we begin to accept God’s abundant grace and provision. By working and applying these biblical principles, we grow spiritually. We gain a powerful new peace that frees us from emotional agony, isolation and self-destructive behavior so we can pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus and with each other than we ever thought possible. Many have experienced a miraculous healing from God while being involved in this group. Come, make real friends and spend time with the only true higher power, the only one who can truly help...Jesus Christ.

Eight Principles Based on the Beatitudes:

R - Realize I’m not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable. “Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor.”
E - Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover. “Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
C - Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control. “Happy are the meek.”
O - Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to another person whom I trust. “Happy are the pure in heart.”
V - Voluntarily submit to any and all changes God wants to make in my life. “Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.”
E - Evaluate all my relationships; offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others when possible without expecting any reward. “Happy are the merciful.” “Happy are the peacemakers.”
R - Reserve a daily time with God for prayer, Bible reading & self-examination in order to know God and His will for my life & to gain the power to follow His will.
Y - Yield myself to be used by God to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words. “Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.”

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups Can:

  • Provide you a safe place to share your experiences, strengths and hopes with others who are going through the “Principles” in a Christ-centered setting.
  • Provide you a leader who has gone through a similar hurt, hang-up or habit that will facilitate the group as it focuses on a particular recovery topic each week.
  • Provide you with the opportunity to find an accountability partner and a sponsor.

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups Will Not:

Attempt to offer any professional clinical advice. Our leaders are not counselors. If needed, a list of approved counseling referrals is available.

What happens at Celebrate Recovery?

We meet corporately for a time of worship and teaching pertinent to the current step. After this, we break into our small groups to confidentially share our struggles and discuss one of the recovery principles. Then we get back together to fellowship over a cup of coffee at the Solid Rock Café. Free childcare is available for children ages birth - 12 yrs.

Celebrate Recovery Schedule

Celebrate Recovery meets Fridays in Room B200. Here’s the nightly schedule:

6 p.m. Dinner
7 p.m. Worship & Praise, Lesson
8 p.m. Small Groups
9 p.m. Solid Rock Café
When you arrive at CCC, park in the front parking lot. Take the sidewalk past the large cross waterfall and the outdoor ramada to the stairs or elevator. Room B200 is just inside the next building.

PRAYER FOR SERENITY
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is; not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be resonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever
in the next. AMEN.
